In this online event, we will present the THERMOS tool and the offers of support from Task Force Wärmewende / Warmtetransitie and give you the opportunity for specific insights and questions about the THERMOS tool and to exchange with the other participants.
THERMOS Software & Project
THERMOS is a web-based software designed to optimise local district energy network planning processes and results according to user and project specific requirements such as budget, climate and energy targets.
Free to use and built with and for local energy planners by the THERMOS project, THERMOS places instant address-level mapping and built-in energy demand estimations within immediate reach.

Task Force Wärmewende / Warmtetransitie
The INTERREG-funded research project “Task Force Wärmewende / Warmtetransitie” aims to implement specific solutions at local level and to develop and support projects that are currently in the planning or preliminary stages of development.
The predecessor project WiEfm has shown that it is not the lack of technical and market-oriented solutions that prevents a comprehensive heat transition in the EUREGIO, but the lack of opportunities in the municipalities to deal with the topic.
This is where the Task Force Wärmewende / Warmtetransitie comes in with its consortium of scientific and practice-oriented expertise. To provide support, the German-Dutch project team uses tools such as the heat navigator as a hot-spot map for heat network potentials and the use of virtual reality to visualise a heat transition in 3D.

We will start with an introduction to the THERMOS project and the THERMOS tool and show you a live demonstration to give you an insight into how to use the tool.
We continue with providing a brief look into the Task Force Wärmewende / Warmtetransitie project and how we would like to support local heat planning activities in different stages of your potential project.
Next, the objective is to exchange with one another and to get to know the tool better. Therefore, we send you into breakout sessions where you shortly introduce yourselves and then talk about how you could think of using the THERMOS tool if you know or use similar tools and why you are interested in this kind of tool. Furthermore, you will collect your questions about using the tool and what you would need to use this tool in your current situation.
Back in the main session, one person of each breakout session will present the findings and questions of your session and we will answer these questions.
In conclusion we will have a feedback round to capture the potential that you see in using the THERMOS tool for your use cases and how we can support you in your specific heat transition situation.
